Unhappy 1995 Altima GLE nood question need help!!

Thanx for reading i have a problem that is really bothering me. I just bought this car and when I'm turning the wheel all the way there is this clunking sound and you can feel it on the driver side. Does anyone know what it could be? it's like I can't turn it as fat as it should be able to go.. Idk what to do
thanks in advance

Reggie

there could be a couple things, usually a clearance issue. is the plastic inner wheel well bent of some sorts and rubbing at all against the tire? if not is your alignment good? if not the clunking is because the tierod on one end is not far enough or too far causing thumping feedback because a clearance issue. and one other thing look at you control arms. there is an insert where the sway bar link connects to the control arms this area usualy hones itself into an egg shape causing the sway bar to clunk around on truning also causing noticeable body roll. ( to fix replace entire control arm(balljoint is usually included with controlarm), sway bar links and bushings, then have alignment checked and enjoy your caddy quality ride.

Axles.

I had a 97 GXE that had 2 bad axles, and boy could I hear it. Same sound, didn't matter which way I turned.

Your description sounds like the half axle CV joint is going out. These get dry and click / clunk when turning. It's louder under hard acceleration. A relatively easy fix.
