We narrowed our new car choice down to the 2.5 SL and the EX-L Accord. We are leaning towards the Nissan but Honda seems to be more willing to negotiate on price.

I'm hearing the SL's are few and far between from local dealerships and they are sticking to their prices?

For those of you who have the 2.5 SL: where did you get it from, did you catch "flack" from the dealer during negotiations and what was the OTD price if you don't mind me asking?

I know this model with its features is popular and there isn't a huge supply but come on. It's the end of the model year, the economy is slow and no offense but this isn't some top of the line porsche.

You sure that isn't opposite?
I have a 2.5 SL and my dealer had A LOT of them. The dealer isn't even that big, and they must have had at least 10. The price i got was $20,500. After TTL it came out to be $23,000 something. The dealer didn't give me any flack or trouble during negotiations. I got it from Giles Nissan. Just an add, i got my car for over $500 BELOW invoice.

Well, Altima SL did wwwaayyyyy better than me. I have the SL. The sticker prices was nearly 28,000. We negotiated down to 23 and some change. I bought mine from United Nissan (in Vegas) they only had 2, mine and another. They were more willing to deal. If you're willing to have them ship it to you (not sure if that's a good route to go) but Douglas Nissan (Henderson, NV) and Desert Nissan (Las Vegas) had a bunch. Oh, and this was back in late June.

Well we purchased the car last night, Raleigh, NC. We got it for $200 under invoice before the rebate so I was pretty pleased. I talked to a few other local dealers and no one was willing to go under invoice.

Sorry to bring up and old thread but did you get Bose? My MSRP was like $26,500 i believe.

My 2.5S has bose so I think his would. I would hope so.

You can't get Bose in an S. Do you have the connection package? Does your radio say Bose?

Unless it says "Bose" above the radio display, it doesn't have Bose. The stock (non-Bose) sound system is quite good, but favors quite a bit of bass. The amount of bass is surprising given that there's no sub-woofer.

I know, that's what i have. The front speakers can't handle anything over 20. They sound like poopoo. I want to get them changed.. I might get matching infiniti's for the front. I already have them in the back.

No, it doesn't have Bose. The type of radio didn't appeal to me ... I went for the leather and moonroof ... can't wait to use the heated seats, but this is Vegas so I gues that will happen sometime in January.
