2003 Altima refrigerant
Hello all.
Looking for an answer to a simple question, but cannot find any products to purchase, nor answers to it so: in my 2003 Altima there is a white bottle mid-way up the left side of the engine that reads "Refrigerant Engine Coolant". Duh, obvious, right? Well it's empty and when running just air (not the A/C) the car is filled with hot air (so when it's 75 outside i am getting hot air thrown over me making it feel like 85). What is this "Refrigerant/Coolant" bottle specifically meant to hold and/or where can I buy it? I asked the Nissan guys when i was at the the shop last week in passing and they mentioned something about authorized technican only can replace this.
A few facts:
The remaining liquid in this white bottle is a bluish color.
The antifreeze in radiator is filled to the top and is the normal ecto-plasm green.
Even though the car blows very hot air (I've owned 20-some cars over 20-some years and this is the hottest air coming from a car I've owned since the days of over-heated V8-engines when you had to turn the vents on and blow the heat at full blast in the summer to keep from blowing up the engine), the temp guage still shows it dead-center in the middle between H and C.
Can anyone tell me what goes into this bottle and how/where I can find it? Is is really 'manditory' that an authorized tech refill this with some special %/% solution?
Thanks to all in advance,
