Default 2009 Altima SL clunck noise continues

We have had a clunck noise from underneath? passenger side for years. Seem metal noise related when not even running at all. I have even walked into the garage in the morning when car has not been driven for 14 hours and...........clunck. Took to dealer yesterday under warranty and of course they did not hear it. I will record hi-def wav file from underneath this weekend if anybody with any knowledge to hear. Not just the converter cooling down? Other issues of this type of noise have been reported on the internet but have never seen a fix.. Thanks Nissan

ABS self check noise? That makes a clunk noise that you can feel in the pedal/floor and hear.

I recently bought an 09' & it also makes a clunking noise which seems to come from underneath passenger side, mostly hear this when the car is sitting idling, I have not taken it to the dealership, interested to know if you were able to find anything on this

I finally contacted my dealer where we bought the car.
The SERVICE MANAGER @ McCarthy Nissan in Olathe,KS is aware of the probelm. He stated to me that its usually heat shields, etc. and invited me to bring the car back and they will work on it. I have not done that yet since its 200mi away, but plan to do so. With my car if any mechanic just listens for 20 min they WILL hear it. If you have a good dealer service dept, have them call above service mgr and have him relate his fix options.
Local dealer in Lincoln,NE was of no use. GOOD LUCK

Pass front side near the firewall is where the abs module/pump is. When the car is started and run for a few minutes and not moved it actuates the pump as a diagnostic procedure to make sure the abs system is functional. It can and will also check after the vehicle is started and but into gear and driven, typically under 15 km/h.
