Import Showdown Summer Event. July 30th, 2011

It is getting close to that time again ladies and gentlemen. If you have not heard, this event for the first time, will be held at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, AL. Event will be held Saturday July 30th, from 4pm - until 10pm CENTRAL TIME

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

As always pay outs will be based on turnouts, but with more sponsors chomping at the bit to be apart of this more money is coming in. Some sponsors really stepped up and added cash to sponsor particular classes. The event is still hosted by Gadsm/Sedsm (same entity) & Fueled by NOS ENERGY DRINK!

This event is a blast guys and it is not just about DSM's. I hope the others will vouch for it. We do not profit from this event, but payout as much as possible to the racers. The goal is to have fun, bring the racing community together, and maybe make a little money if you win.

Man.. I feel you. I'm making the drive from GA, but it won't be as long as 5hrs.. When I do go to events in NC though,5-6hrs is the norm LOL... Come on man, plan for it now so you can make it to the spring 2012 event in GA!!

hope you guys take lots of pics and hope there are altimas and maximas at your showdown. Mine in fullerton, CA were mostly the coupes....350/370zs and g35/g37s...only a couple of infiniti sedans...

I'll be helping out w/ Tech Inspection, but I'll try to take as many pics as I can.. Same here w/ Nissans @ this showdown.. Typically 350z's, 240's, G35's,300zx's, & the last one, there were some R35 GTR's running :-). But very few, if any, Maximas/Altimas.. I've talked to a couple of folks & we're hoping to change that for 2012

Made the drive to AL and the weather was looking iffy @ first, but it held out. The temps turned out to be great, and the event went on as scheduled.. Pretty good turnout for a 1st time (this is the first Summer Import showdown). Pics will be upoloaded soon
