2011 Spring Import Showdown, Reynolds, Ga. PICS are Up
It is getting close to that time again ladies and gentlemen. If you have not heard this event is held at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA. Event will be held Sunday May 1st, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

As always pay outs will be based on turnouts, but with more sponsors chomping at the bit to be apart of this more money is coming in. Some sponsors really stepped up and added cash to sponsor particular classes. The event is hosted by Gadsm/Sedsm (same entity) and Fueled by NOS Energy Drink.
This event is a blast guys and it is not just about DSMs I hope the others will vouch for it. We do not profit from this event, but payout as much as possible to the racers. The goal is to have fun, bring the racing community together, and maybe make a little money if you win.

I'm trying to make it out there but I don't know if I'm gonna be able to make it. Hopefully I can get the time to go though. I'll know for sure if I'm going or not within 3 days or so.. I don't wanna miss this one..

Ok, ok, cool. Hopefully you do get the time off... Whenever I get my Max ready (probably nxt yr LOL) I'll try to go to Northern FL & NC to support some local events. Like you said, this spring showdown will be one not to miss, I feel too.

I'll be one of the people doing the vehicle Tech Inspections, so I'm not sure how mch time I'll have to actually snap some pics.... But I'll try to get one of my friends who's coming from NC to take some

Ah... Memories.... LOL. A quick pic from the last time we had a good group come out... The Silver 05 Alti belongs to a friend of mine.. She drove from LOUISIANA for the event... Wow.. What a GREAT Import Showdown.. Tech Inspection went well for the most part, lots of nice cars...Headed back home now.. I got a chance to snap a few pics, they should be up soon....
I'm glad to let you all know that the ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE class, for once, was not dominated by Mitsubishis (evos/dsms), but by NISSAN... Yes.. 3 R-35 GTR's were present, and getting it done.
All motor had some fast Hondas, Modified street had some fast boosted Hondas, Rwd drive class had a quick turbo 350z and rx-7, and the big Showdown class was won by a 240sx w/ a 2jz

Yes sir, it had great turnout, lots of nice/fast cars, and the weather was just about perfect. They're having a fall import showdown this year, in November, but I'll be out of town then.... The next event I'll probably attend, though I'm sure it won't be as nice as this, will be the Phantasm Motorsports street wars event in Rockingham, NC in September... Otherwise, next spring, back in Reynolds, Ga (Hopefully w/ the Max ready to run or a 200sx.... We'll see).
It was great to see a nice MIX of cars though, not just one particular brand. Hopefully next year we can get more members of this forum and the maxima.org forum to be in attendance and run...
