Ok, so im bad with car terminology and trying to learn more how to fix a car myself than send it to shops. The problem is that my car accelerates weird. I floor it and the car isnt accelerating at all at times and the engine even dies out and regains strength and starts running at the speed it should be going. It does it on and off so it can go to running normal to not. ive been told to replace my fuel filter, or my fuel pump. maybe thats not it? i hope its not any more serious than that. my car only has 124k miles and i thought this was a long lasting car if it has been taken care of. im very pessimistic right now on where to go. i put so much money into this car and i dont want to give up on it now but theres no way ill buy a new transmission or engine.

a fuel filter would be a good bet, that is an easy fix that you can do yourself. It is right on top in the back next to the firewall. Try a fuel system cleaner, you can find it at Autozone for pretty cheap.
