The silicon that seals the edges of your windshield has probably deteriorated or got hard and cracked. First open your door and remove the door molding that is on your A-pillar. There should be 4 or 5 screws holding that silver and black windshield/molding track on to the car. Remove them. If you see the gap or something weird, then put some new silicon in it (Get from Autozone, etc). If you didn't find the problem under the track, then open the hood. Pop off the nut covers on the windshield wiper arms. A 12 or 14mm nut holds the arm on. Remove nut. While lifting the arm off, bend the arm (like your replacing your wipers, but only bend few inches, because of the hood) while pulling up on the attached area. Then remove the plastic weather guard from the car (plastic pops or screws). Now you can check the bottom of the windshield and do the same as stated prior. Hope this fixes your problem.

I used to work at a customizing shop and we also did insurance jobs (fix back to stock). I have only witnessed this on a few altimas. One altima had bad door molding and the water would run door the weather vain/ water trough and into the floor panel. The other one had a clogged A/C drain tube (but that is on the passenger side). The other one had the windshield replaced by glass masters while in our shop. Their hood latch broke and the hood flew up while they were driving and broke the windshield. The glass master guy who came to replace the window did a half @$$ job and when we finished the car and washed it, water was dripping on the drive's side floor boards. We called glass masters and asked them to set the windshield correctly. They did. If you had your windshield replaced recently, then it should still be under warranty. Have them fix it right or at least look at it.

Also, if you have a lot of leaves and things under that weather guard by the wipers, then the water does not want to drain properly. I will do my best to find any more possibilities.
