Default 98 Altima -Want to up date stereo-How

My 98 Alti needs the stock stereo /cd unit replaced (upgraded) How do I get the stock unit out and what configuration goes back in the hole?
Will it be plug and play? It seems like a big hole to fill with just a new head unit. Help
Thx Toby

You would need a dash kit and wiring harness to fit the new cd player in the space where the stock one is. You can use a Metra Dash kit #99-7417 - $15, Metra Wiring Harness #70-7550 - $15, Metra Antenna Adapter #40-NI10 - $15. We have them all in stock. If you buy all 3 of them I will ship for free. They are mostly plug and play but you will have to connect the wires on this wiring harness to the ones on the wiring harness on the back of the cd player you buy. If you need a CD player we keep Panasonic, Alpine, Pioneer, and Kenwood in stock. So just let me know what model number you are looking for and I can price.

Could you post any pics of removing the stock unit?
