Hi guys,

My sister has a 95 altima with the overdrive automatic. The trans started acting up, it was shifting really hard 1st to 2nd, and wouldnt go into 3rd or overdrive. I pulled the code 4th gear incorrect ratio. A buddy of mine works at aamco and says that the cluthes inside the trans are slipping. I could get it rebuilt but I went to a local pick n pull to look for another, their interchange says 95-97 only, but they do have a 98 and 99. The transmissions look absolutely identical, but can anyone tell me if it will work? I know an interchange will say it wont if something as simple as the gear ratio is different or a sensor would need to be swapped.
