I have a 4th gen... all it takes to open the windows is holding the unlock key down for 30 seconds (or some similar number of seconds, i forget...)

Does anyone know if there's any way to disable this? I have actually come back to my car on occasion to find out that the windows were open. This happened while it was raining once. I wasn't very happy.

That's hilarious. I can't imagine there is a way to disable it. The engineer of such a device, I'm sure was thinking that amount of time was long enough to never have that happen.

Believe it or not, there should be a way to disable it.

There is apparently some options menu that the stealership can access when they connect to your cars computer...or connect your car to the computer...or however you say it, lol.

Somewhere deep in the options they can set whether or not a third gen has this functionality, so urs is prolly similar.

I know this because I WANT this feature, and its mentioned on my manual...but it don't work in my car. I heard briefly about the computer thing once, but I've forgotten the details.

Anybody feel like finding that info?

(oops...I just contributed to a MAJOR threadjack)

Hmm, thanks for the tip, Unclear (even though you're unclear on the details hehe, sorry couldn't resist) I have to take my my car to the dealer anyways cause apparently my doors are full of water... (They better fix this for me, I haven't had the car that long and the problem had to have been there before I bought it...)

Well, I know mine don't do that - I tried yesterday and all that happened was I turned off my beep. It must be something that is randomly activated - because you have an S, same as mine Aurora900. Do you have like a package on it or something, like the tech package? Oh and I hate to tell you this, but if that water issue was there when you bought the car, and you bought it used - you might be screwed. Unless you can show them some TSB or recall they will just waive it off as something you did... I have unfortunate experience in this department...

Default I had to try this

I have a 2012 2.5S so I finally got around to try this. It comes programmed with the front windows down function. Like the others said just hold down unlock on the FOB for less then 30 sec. and let go when your windows are where you want them to stop. The first time I let go too soon and I thought, 'that was it, only half way.' I like this function for a black car. It has gotten very hot here this summer. Thanks for this thread.

It only does this if you have the convenience package, which i sadly don't.
