Default air bag light and other elec stuff

I swapped out the radio in my 94 yesterday (along with) removing all the nasty interior to clean it. So today I put it all back together, and now the airbag light keeps blinking (I Checked, the yellow wire bundle is hooked up between the seats. Also, the clock keeps blinking in and out and losing time. Any ideas?

You'll have to go to someone that can pull the code and see what it is.

Thats not welcome news. But I guess your right. I found my + battery terminal is broken. Kinda hoped that might be causing this.

I just bought a '95 GXE and my airbag light is also blinking on and off, but here's the deal...
The car was super cheap because the guy I bought it from (Johnny) had bought it from the first owner with a broken crankshaft. Johnny put in another engine and that's when I came along.
It's a one-owner with all stock radio, etc. Mature people who didn't butcher wiring or do any other kid stuff. So I've got to believe that:
1) There's an issue with the engine swap causing this (I haven't had time to get up in it much yet.)
2) There's an actual problem with the air bag system.
I found on another forum a post on how to turn the light off, in case it's just a passing glitch, but I've still to try that too. If it comes back on, I'll assume I've got a real problem.
I'll post here with whatever I find, if it might help you any.

It could be that the crash sensor on the front of the car got disconnected and did not get reconnected after the engine swap. If that isn't it then it could be one of the seat belt pre-tensioners have failed or even one of the air bags. Could also be an Air Bag Diagnosis Unit failure as well.

Well I did take my seat belts loose at the bottom to remove carpet. So possible I messed with this tension thing. What do I check? Also, there is a small module between the seats (rear or the console) that has a yellow cable that apparently connects to airbag. I unplugged this to take out carpet. So I was curious if this might have caused the error. Thanks Y'all

You could have damaged the connector to either the seat belt pre-tensioner or the Airbag diagnosis module. I would start checking there.

Yeah, Nisstech, please tell me where to find all these connections. I'm trying to teach a 16 year old how to pay attention to warning lights, so all the extra annoying ones need to be OFF. Thanks.

The connectors are on the seatbelt assembly at the very bottom. You will have to take the trim piece off of the "B" pillar to get to it. There is a connector on both front seat belts.

Default air bag

to reset your air bag light, turn ignition switch on(warning lights on engine off) and press the drivers door switch in and out 7-10 times the light will then flash a code, it is usually nothing. turn ignition off and then try to start the car and see if light goes out.

Diagnostic Procedure:

1) Open Drivers Door
2) Turn ignition switch to on position
3) Press Drivers door lock switch at least 5 times in 7 seconds.
4) Check Air Bag light flash pattern.
*If the lamp flashes on and off at a regular 3 second interval then no problem is detected.*

5) Turn OFF ignition switch to end diagnostic procedure. That should hopefully turn the light off but no guarantee. If it doesn't you will need to visit the dealer so they can turn it off using CONSULT. (97 Dollars Here in Milwaukee)

***If The Door Lock Switch Doesnt Do The Trick Repeat Steps But Use Drivers Door Pin Switch ( rubber boot switch on the door sill when you open the door) instead of lock button.***

I Did a mixture of both and it finally reset.
