I couldn't agree more. I test drove just about every hybrid on the market before buying the Altima, the Altima was by far the most balanced.

Same here. I rented a Prius for 4 days. Just wasn't very involving to drive, and I "only" got 38 mpg average. I guess my lead foot wasn't willing to cooperate with the hybrid strategy.
Funny thing about the Altima - there's plenty of power so I rarely find myself having to flog it. I love how it drives like a "real car", and I love the room. Trunk is a little small, but it's fully useable. Couldn't find any other car on the market that I liked better. The Toyota Camry Hybrid was a car I considered, but I prefered the sporty nature of the Altima over the softer, more "cushiony" Camry.
Victor: I can't stop staring at your NAH! I love how it looks on the Eibach springs and 19" wheels! Did you notice any impact to ride quality or fuel efficiency when you installed the springs and 19" wheels?

I am extremely happy with the ride. The springs are progressive, so they tighten up during hard cornering/braking but maintain a smooth ride during normal driving. The tires also helped to firm up the ride without compromising comfort. The entire combination really makes the car feel much lighter and nimble.
It's really unfortunate this car isn't sold everywhere...

Suspension-wise, there are springs and rear sway bars available for the Altima, so you can tailor the car's handling to your liking that way. Wheels/tires are an option, though if you select too heavy a wheel/tire combo (or a sticky tire that's really wide), that may impact your gas mileage some.
As for performance, there's not much. There are high flow intakes that you can fit.
I wonder if there would be any impact from fitting the Stillen header to the Altima Hybrid... but I'm not willing to spend the money to find out. (I think a more efficient intake/header might yield horsepower and fuel efficiency, but I can't be sure as my dirty air filter gave me better fuel mileage than the clean air filter I put in.)

I agree with you Im not sure if i want to mess with the stillen header too costly if it doesnt work out. but i did pick up some 18" wheels from a friend so i am going to try them and see how they work out ride wise. not too into the style of the wheel but if ride turns out to be ok i already have the wheels in mind that i want.
quick question what size of wheels does anyone think is the best for altimas?
thanks for everyone's input in advance

Wow. It's been awhile since I posted on here. My hybrid is still going strong... I've had the 19's for a couple years I guess... they seem to work just fine. Tires can be pricey though. I've gone through two and a half sets of tires in the two years at about a grand each time... Good luck.
