Default Altima ?'s

Hello, I have never owned a car before... I've had 3 trucks and am considering a newer Altima for my first car. My dad was looking at the new Maxima a while back and I test drove the new (2008) Altima and loved it. Now I am fixing to graduate from college and I have a job already lined up.

A brand new car would cost too much for me right now, but the local Nissan dealership has several 2007 and up 4dr altimas for under 20k.

Basically I just want to know what I should look for when checking out these used alties . . . What are the little differences through the years, are there any tell tale signs of problems with these cars? Any tsb's or recalls that I need to pay attention too?

Any and all info is appreciated, thanks!

If you get an altima buy one with a Manual Transmission. In the long run it will serve you better through cheaper maintenance, Better gas mileage, and more fun as if you didn't already know this.

Get what "YOU" want for options, but make sure there's a 3.5 under the hood....

Default little things

Yea definately get a manual and V-6 if possible. Dont buy an 02 unless you plan to put a lot of new stuff on it. They have light, exhaust, and airbag recalls but that was the first year for that model. I have an 02 and it is a 5-speed and other than the little things I love it. An altima is a great way to go

Im a truck guy and I love my altima. I've got a V6 and a 5spd which I think it the only way to go.
