Hopefully someone can help. I bought my Altima sedan nearly 3 weeks ago and I have noticed some rattling. I am sure it is coming from the moonroof. I have read in other areas of people talking about the headliner and whatnot, but I don't know what that is or means. I guess I could take the car back to the dealership, but I would rather not wait to have them fix it if there is something simple that I can do at home. If you can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I had a rattle like this too. It was with the rear deck. A few people have complained about this rattle. It must be common with the new Altima. My doors have been rattling too. :mad:

No offense but if you don't know what a headliner is and it is under warranty, take it back to the dealer and have them take care of it.

I would just take to the dealer and demand a loner for your loss of use.

Oh, and a headliner is the roof material. The stuff that covers the roof metals on the interior.

Thank you to everyone for your help. I found out what a headliner is and was like DUH ... anyway, I will be taking the car back to the dealer and hopefully they will have already encountered the problem and can get it fixed quickly.

@NissTech659, I'm not offended.

Not a good way to give good customer loyalty. They may make note of your "demanding" and won't give you a good deal.

I took the car in and they noticed the problem also and knew what was causing it ... something about joints if I can remember right ... anyway, I'm waiting for a part and she will be fixed shortly.
