I normally park my car so that the rear is facing me when I walk to it. I NEVER walk around the car to see that it is okay. Well, this morning I got a nice flippin' surprise when, for the first time in a about a week, I'm walking toward the front on the car only to notice that someone has actually hit me. I didn't want to believe what I was seeing. I rubbed my hand across the damage and was happy to find out that the white paint (mixed with dirt) came right off. Now I am left with a lot of scratches. My paint has been taken off and you can see the black plastic underneath so it kinda blends with the dark slate color of the car. The damage is really not that bad (most won't even notice it), but that fact that I will always know it is there and the fact that I have only made 2 payments has me thinking that I need to call my insurance agent and get it repaired so the car continues to look fresh and new. I thought about touch up paint, but there are too many big and wide scratches for that ... can't help but thinking I need to get over it.

I have learned a valuable lesson ... do a little walk around.

That sucks... I can kind of relate. I had my Altima for 2 weeks when I was side swiped by a yellow-cab while driving through a parking lot. The passenger side body panels from bumper to bumper were pretty much destroyed. I'll see if I can find some pics to post...

ARGH! That sucks. And Victor, that's just really awful.

I had my Altima Hybrid for two weeks when a SUV was passing me and kicked-up a rock. For the life of me, I have no idea how it happend, but it sounded like a gun shot to my driver's door. I pulled over to find a small dent and rock chips in the door paint. *&(&#$$#%%!!!!

Then two days ago (about 4 weeks into ownership), I come back to the car to see a small black spot on the corner of the bumper. Someone scraped the bumper and took off a 15mm x 3 mm chip of paint, and left scratches in the bumper. Most of the scratches buffed out, but I had to go buy touch up paint and will fill that missing paint as best as I can later. &#$$#%%!!!!

Sigh...

This sucks for all of you guys! If i were to hit someones car, i'd at LEAST leave a note with my phone number and name to call me...
I have lots of dings on the front of my car from bugs. The paint isn't holding up all that well.

Yeah I somehow got a deep ding on my roof two payments in as well. Sucks. Oh yeah, and if I leave bird poop on my paint for more than one hour, it leaves a permanent mark on my clear coat.

I feel for you. The '08 replaced my rusted out '95 G20.

My odometer had just turned 3K when my neighbor backed out of his driveway into the side of my car while I was driving by. He was more upset than me, but his ins. co is being a real pain.

Body shop - $2200, ins. check - $1350.
Body Shop - 10 days, ins est. - 5 days.
Body shop - Nissan parts, ins. co - non-Nissan parts.

I have a crappy Pontiac G6 right now as the ins. co. refused to pay anything better. My car has been in the shop for 2 days. It's killing me to not keep calling them for updates.

Aww man, sorry to see that The first week I owned my car, some teens at 2AM thought they were funny and threw a huge rock at the front of my car. Have a few chips on my front hood but it still pissed me off.

I know how you feel, i had a guy put his truck into reverse and slam into me. Hurt the bumper and the pad under the bumper, but his insurance is being a **** about it and doesnt want to pay for factory parts...****ing battles i hate them.

i sent my car to the alignment shop under warranty... got it back with a ding in the door... not as bad as yours but still sucks. i hate that people cant respect other peoples stuff. also got backed into by my gf sister at there parents house. hood bumper and grill. then two weeks later. something hit my hood on the freeway and chipped the paint....thats how it goes though. hope you get your car back soon
