Altima Noob here...i have a 2010 Altima 2.5 s with the factory radio and would it be possible for me to place a single 12" sub woofer in the trunk without having to replace the head unit i just want to add the subwoofer for a bit more precision in sound

Yes, I believe it is possible on most new cars to add an amp and sub to the factory stereo. I have not done it myself, but I'm sure it's relatively standardized from one car to the next, so if you do a google search for "add subwoofer to factory stereo" or something, you should find an answer.

If you do it without adding an amp it might not sound like what you want it to. Yes, you could add a sub with an amp to a factory radio. You'd have to buy a harness called a line output converter that would splice into the wires going to your rear speakers. The LOC has the rca plugs that the amp will plug into.
