just interested in what everyone plans on doing to their beloved altimas. and i'm kinda sad this board is dead. i hope this site kicks off into a well known forum.

I'm not currently driving an altima but hope to be getting one within a week.

my (soon to be) car:
05 black 3.5 SE auto

don't really have a lot of plans thus far since i don't even know for sure if it will go through, but i really like the billit grills and i want to upgrade the HIDs to 6k and maybe match the fogs . . .

i thought about changin the stereo to something aftermarket, but the bose is too nice and i kind of regret taking out of the max.

i kind of see this as a second chance at a car. i love my 98 maxima to death, but there are a few things i would prolly do differently and lots of money i would spend more wisely. things like exhaust and stereos and after market headlamps have lost all their allure. now that im gettin older and seeing my car up for sale and realizing i'll never see any thing back for that money, i think i can do a better job on the new one

so everyone let me see where you are with your car and what you plan to do. and if you did something that didn't work or you found an easier way, post up. that is what a forum like this is for. i hope to see lots of responses

Yeah... i know what you mean. i did alot of work on my 240sx and my 300z and did okay on the resale but not what I put into them. I spoke to a 50 yr old guyy at pep boys that had alot of good advice. i really wanted to add a cold air intake to my 240sx and do the exhaust (and of course did) his advice was to just remove the box in front of the drivers front tire and put a performance cat on. if i did that I would've saved $400.00. I drove mine then his ( we both had 1993 240sx automatic hatch backs) his sounded better and was faster :cry:

On my 300 I changed the stereo system ($1200.00) and it sounded worse wish i kept the bose.

Babling Sorry-- I have an 2003 altima now and followed the same advice on the cold air and exhaust. Good sound better gas mileage and more punch with the gas. Hope you got your ride--l8ter

yeah man - i got the car. i love it! just sold my old car a 98 maxima that i also loved but just wanted an upgrade. in that car i swapped the stock bose for a pioneer deck i had and replaced all the speakers with infinity kappa and it sounded great but for the cost i dont think it was really worth it. i know i learned a lot on that. mostly on what makes a difference in the sale so i got a whole different approach to the alti.

i put the 20"s i had on the maxima on the new car since they fit and i already had them. and i got the 6k HIDs from 3bspecialties. going to upgrade the fogs for sure. prolly in the next week and match the tint to 20% all around with a nice fat banner on the windshield, the front is 44% now. just got a fat check for the maxima so i gotta blow it. here's a pic of where i'm at now

the front bumper and some of the hood are pretty hammered from drving and just rock chips but i'm gettin that repainted pretty soon too

what do u mean by this?! i have no intake on my 03 alty and i have a full catback wuts this remove box stuff? like a free WAI?
