2011 Altima 2.5S - 3726 miles - battery problems?
I had a similar problem. I tried to start my car in the morning but it didn't work. I called geico, the tow truck arrived and tried the jump starter it worked. I am going to the dealer tomorrow for inspection.
I also had a warning message as Maintenance other when i turn on the car from the begining at around 600 mielage. I took my car to the dealer, they fixed it in a minute but it started popping up again after one week and i ignored that error message all the time.
Anybody experienced these issues with 2011 Altima 2.5s???

I pressed the brake and pushed the start button, but the car would not turn over. I got out of the car and attempted to close the door and turn the car to the off position, but nothing happed. The chime kept going, lights and the 'door open' display was stuck and none of the buttons on the screen for the radio or the navigation system where functional. I was worried. I wanted to tow my car to the dealership, but I leave for work at 4:45am and there were none open. That also meant that my car would have been on for over four hours just draining the battery. I looked to see if there were troubleshooting steps in the manual, but found none. My husband finally decided to just detach the battery after 25 minutes of trying to turn the car off. The car works fine now, but after reading the posts, I will NEVER again disconnect the battery, but just take it to the dealer for repair.
I thought that this was extremely weird and I hope it never happens again. I have a slight air leak in my sun roof, so when I get that repaired at the dealership this weekend, I will definitely describe this experience with the technican.

Saaaaaaaaaame Issue
Thank you folks for posting this issue. The VERY SAME thing happened to me a couple of days ago, "Door Open" message message poped up, computer froze, engine doesn't want to start. For a second I was tempted to open the hood and reset the battery but didn't want to take chances because I want to keep my warranty (Altima, 2.5 S. Special Edition with 6,000 miles).
I called the dealer, they sent me a towing truck, I went with the truck to the dealership, they brought the car into their maintenance department. 15 minutes later an agent from Enterprise was there with a rental (all covered under warranty which included the tow also), that was nice.
The maintenance department called me toward the end of the day and told me to keep the rental for a couple of days because they are waiting for parts. They explained that Altima has 4 modules that exchange computer commands and the computer is showing that (the sensor on everyone of the four wheels shorted out for some reason) strange.
They don't know what triggered the issue, but they spent time on the phone with Nissan trying to get to the bottom of the issue. I don't know what is going to happen but will keep you all updated. Right now I'm driving a rental (2011 chevy impala) nice suspension but not as smooth, nice and classy like the Altima.
Oh, by the way, they mentioned that if try to use unusual solutions like jumpstarting the car, that also triggers more computer problems!
Will keep you all updated. The best of luck to all of you.
Mike

I just had this happen to me. My 2011 Altima froze with all the dashboard lights on, I disconnected the battery to reset the computer and everything seems to be working normal now.
My friend who bought a similar car a week after me had this happen at least once a few weeks ago.
What should we all do? this is not a normal thing to be happening.

I always carry a 10mm wrench in the glove box and jumper cables in the trunk in case the above situation arises!!!

I am looking for a copy of the TBS (NTB12-041) and if or when I find it, I'll post it here.

Happened to me AGAIN last Saturday. Of course I procrastinated in purchasing a wrench set to keep in my trunk so I had to call a buddy to bring me a wrench to disconnect the battery and reconnect. Then it started right up!
WTF! I am going to have to take it the Nissan dealer to have the patch applied.

Why don't you ask them to give you a copy of the NTB12-041 patch or ask for the rang of VIN numbers that apply to this TBS.
