I'm not that car savvy, and I don't have the confidence to do a diy like the HID, so does anyone know if there is someplace in the Los Angeles area that does this kind of thing? thanks.

You don't have to be car savvy to do HIDs...It's all plug-n-play with one hole to drill in the dust cap.

They just have to be done right. Spending $100 on them isn't going to be a quality product. Lightwerkz (?) has the best setups out there, but you have to pay a good dollar for them, but for good reason. OEM projectors are pretty trouble free as well.

A little above the compartment next to the hazard lights; you can pull that panel piece that covers the a/c controls and the radio. Slowly pull it off and you have access to all the screws for the radio.

Arrow halogen upgrades are great budget mod

I don't want to mess with HID kits so I upgraded my halogens. I, like many others, can't stand how short the life is on the Sylvania SilverStar Ultras so I've upgraded to the SOLUX lamps which last as long as standard halogen rather than only around a year like the Ultras. They're NOT super-white/blue-ish but that has nothing to do with true brightness. That said, they're noticeably whiter and definitely brighter than the original bulbs...they advertise 80% brighter yet street legal, longest beam and best replication of daylight (4600k) of any halogen style bulb. So far, so good - I love them...especially on my high-beams...and I live in the country (very dark) and use my lights quite a bit. I did low-beam, high-beam and fog lights so it was more than $100, but like I said, I'm very happy. I can't do links but headlights123 has the product info.

when I get my altima back from the shop, I'm going to have Solarcraft in Burbank do the HID install. I'll buy a 6k kit from them which they sell for $120 and also have my LED drls hooked up as well.

I had my sound system installed by them and they did a phenomenal pro job on it!

Might want to add overlays to the list; eyelids, roof, taillights, headlights, fogs.
And maybe plastic dip. (it depends though i believe)
