I am getting a trouble code of p0444 For the purge valve circuit open.I am trying everything I can figure out but can not get this thing to fix.Any help would be great.Thanks

What year is your car? What have you done to try to fix it?

It is an 02. I changed the o ring on the fuel pump today.Reset it and no luck.I have had it to 2 garages that are doing nothing but taking my money.

Have you replaced the EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Solenoid Valve yet?

NoI have not.I had it to a dealership.They said replace the gascap.Did that.Just had it to a shop,they said it was the purge valve.Then called me back and said they were wrong.Had it for a week,and did nothing.Went and took it back,bought a manual and been trying to figure it out myself.I did see one crimped hose up under by the tank.The book I bought doesnt tell you anything.Well it does say take it to a dealer to be fixed,because the setup on that year is complex...lol My dealer just moved and their smog machine isnt approved by the state.So im at a loss of what to do....
