I know for a fact there are a few strong FWD VQ's in Charlotte/G-boro area.. When we had the Nissan meet here in GA earlier this year, a few of them came down.. Just a matter of finding them locally, I guess.. Have you run your car @ a track before?

The few guys I spoke with had Maximas, but I saw some Altimas there w/ NC tags on them, so I know they're out there...

Even though your car is stock, it has lots of potential to run good times. A simple tire/suspension adjustment will show that. Then you can progressively do mods. I wish I had an SE-R lol.

For 2012 race season, me and a couple of friends plan to attend import events in the southeast, more than likely starting in April @ rockingham for import face off.... There's also a very good local import event here in GA that we try to support, maybe you could plan now to attend

I live east of town, in Conyers area. I actually drive a 97 maxima, pretty much stock for now...My cousin has an 02 Altima 3.5 5-spd that's currently down, but my buddy and I should be swapping in a fresh motor over the winter, probably test it out when 2012 race season opens, then ship the car to him(he moved to Seattle, WA). Then focus on getting my buddy's S13 running strong.... After all that, we'll probably do something to mine.

What's life like in NC? How are race relations? How are living expenses? Are the roads well paved and maintained? How about weather...how often do you get snow? What are summer temperatures like?

NC is okay. its a growning city. not like atlanta.
Race- there are drag strips here in concord / rockhingham every time
living is okay. looking for 1 bedroom apt is like 790
all the road here sucks. except for the new ones that are paved
weather is good. not much snow. just ice

good weather all year round for bike! today was 75 degrees!!!

Another good track to go to (though a bit out of the way for the charlotte crew) is Fayetteville Motorsports Park (used to go there a lot when I lived in Raleigh).. The echo'ing sound emitted by the cars @ Rockingham is just awesome though... Think we need to organize a meet/track day for nxt year.....
