Default cheap intake ?

i came across a seller on ebay who was selling a maf adapter and a high flow air filter. basically you remove your stock air filter and attach the new one just like a short ram using your oem tubing.would this give the same results as spending 200-300 bucks on a full intake kit? thinking about trying,it only cost about $20 bucks for the maf adapter and whatever else i want to spend on the filter.if anyone has heard of this or done it please let me know your results. thanks

This should give you the same results as the free WAI. The real beauty of a CAI is the noise it makes.

That is true! I have the AEM CAI and it sounds mean, even without any exhaust mods, but quite until about 3600 RPM and sounds like a race engine near redline.
It gets some suprised looks when you mash it off the line!

It looks good! I feel bad for those people spending $300+ for the CAI, when you just proved $30 will give you about the same results. Now you have a few hundred to use for other mods!
