Default clicking under dash and heater blowing cold

just the other day i got a strange click happening under the dash, not sure where exactly. then yesterday morning i had to use the defrost and the air was completely cold. Engine was fully warmed up and still nothing.

any ideas? the clicking noise has gotten very faint so trying to pinpoint its location has been a challenge.

You have three different motors associated with the positioning of where the air blows and how hot or cold it is. It is very common for these motors to strip the internal plastic gears and start clicking. You need to get under the dash and look at it while it is clicking. there are two on the passenger side and one on the driver side.
