Question CPS Sensor et al

I've recently had the now infamous Crankshaft Positioning Sensor failure on our 2005 Altima SE. It was a bear to get to and replace, but it's done. The engine runs fine now, once it gets started! After replacing the sensor, its very difficult to start the engine now.

Since I did the sensor replacement myself, the ECM has not been reprogrammed. Has anyone else seen this? Will reprogramming the ECM help?
