Trying to find a part number for the OEM DD faceplate w/o digital a/c controls. Anyone find it yet?

My 2011 base model came with no radio, just a double-din storage solution. I replaced that with a Sony nav unit using the original faceplate. I'd prefer the fit to be slightly more flush, but overall the install was a breeze. A little creative elongation (waller' them holes out!) of the mount bracket should get me the correct depth. This is probably a better solution than the Bose part.

Can you show a close up of the texture of your plate.

I am newbie. A dumb question. The original faceplate which is already present in the car, is that not usable for the double din car stereo installation? Why do you have to get another one from Nissan or from metra?

I have Nissan Altima 2011 with no factory installed radio.

I have the same setup and did use the original faceplate. If you have a factory radio then you'll need a new faceplate to go double-din.

Thanks DavidBo. Did you have to buy a separate mount or kit to get the stereo installed? You mentioned something about elongation for depth. Could you please elaborate?

I have several other questions. If possible please try to help me.

From the internet, I have gathered that I require the following things. Please confirm if they are sufficient:
1. Nissan Wiring Harness. Any particular one you went for?
2. Nissan Antenna Adapter. Any particular one you went for?
3. How did you hookup the microphone?

Please share any other tips like earthing and others. Did you use any special tool to remove the dash face plate and the climate control?

Thanks!

Both wire harnesses are from Metra. I ran the ground wire seperately to a bolt on the structure behind the console. I crimped an insulated spade connector in the wire to simplify removing the unit in the future.
As far as the microphone, I ran the wire from the head unit down to the bottom of the left console side panel, under the driver side carpet then up the side under the trim panel to the headliner. I tucked the wire under the headliner towards the center where I clipped the microphone. I used a little adhesive hook on the windscreen behind the mic to keep the wire in place.
My Sony Nav unit bolted right to the bracket that held the original storage pockets. There is no adjustment available and I wish the unit could go in a little deeper, but I've gotten used to it. I've have a pic of the finished product a few posts up.
If you got the base model Altima like I did, you only got front door and dash speakers. I replaced the door speakers with aftermarket and installed new ones on the rear deck (not fun!). At least the wiring is already in place.
Hope this answers your questions...Good luck!

Thank you so much for the tips. I thought the rear deck speaker installation would be the easiest. What was the problem with that installation? Also, what type of speakers can be installed on the rear deck? I suppose, they are not the 6 1/2 ones.

OEM faceplate that matches color AND texture 100%. The only faceplate i would use as none of the aftermarket look like they actually belong there.

Just wondering if you have a link to where this can be purchased, or possibly a part number to search. Thanks,
