Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and hope you folks can help. I have an 04 Altima that I now need to replace the driver's side door latch. By latch, I mean the plastic door handle that was kind enough (mostly due to my stupidity) to snap off in my hand after the recent ice storm. I can still open the door if I grab the little plastic posts that the plastic cover was part of. I'm mainly interested if anyone has any info on how to do this, how hard, would it be better to take it to a body shop, or any other thoughts? I'm not extremely mechanically inclined, but I can follow good directions. I also don't have a garage full of tools, but I do have access to friends that should have the required stuff. If this isn't making clear sense, let me know and I'll describe it further, or try to post pictures.

Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated!

junkyards are the best places for parts like these!!! go get the yellowbook and find one...but once u have the handle in ur hand, just slowly take the panel apart, its pretty self explainitory.
