Default Getting car soon. What color? + Stuff I want to do/degree of difficulty

Hey guys. I'm grabbing a '07 Altima (2.5S Probably)in a few weeks.

I'm torn between black and precision gray.

Here are some things I want to do with it, and after reading you might have some suggestions on what color to get. Also, I need to know the degree of difficulty of doing some things because this is the first car I'm going to "mod"?

Headlights: Change out to blue LEDs (does this require a whole new unit? or just swap the light)
Fog Lights: ""
Highbeams: ""
Tail Lights: Take to glass place and have them tinted (this is possible, right?)
Windows tint: 5% black tint
Rims: Probably going to get blacked out rims with a chrome boarder. (I could use some recommendations for some cheaper ones. Standard size is fine.)

I'm thinking I'm going to go with black. Idk.

If you guys have any tips or stuff you want to share with me that would be great. Besides the tinting (don't want to f* it up) I want to try to do it myself.

Thanks dudes.

Black looks excellent but ALOT of maintenance. Grey is easy to maintain and looks good. I tend to go with neutral colors when buying vehicles. Good luck on your purchase!

Nothing looks better than a freshly washed black car with chrome accents, but black does get dirty very quickly. Also, if you buy a black car, you may want to tint the windows as black cars get hot quickly.

I've been thinking about what I want to do with it now. I think I'm going to pass on smoking the tail lights for cost reasons.

Now its down to
-Tinting windows all around with 35-40% visibility to be compliant with local laws.
-Get blacked out rims with chrome border. What size should I get? I found some nice 18's - would that look funny?
-Headlights change to LED's or HID's - which one is the annoying blue coming on from like a mile away? Also, is this something a novice could do or will I need to take it to the shop?

Thanks haha.

i prefer the grey because black is A LOT of maintenance, and blue LEDs and 5% tint may get you pulled over.

18 would look fine. I was going to get 18s but my tires only had 1000 miles on them so i stuck with 17s witch look good as well. I personally wouldn't go bigger than 18s on an Altima.

Black is a bueatiful color for most cars if it is well maintained. I like the Altimas in grey. I saw L.E.D. bulds some where on the internet that replaced the standard bulbs. I dont know anything about them but that would be something fairly simple. I would go with 17 or 18 inch wheels.

here are a few good wheel websites:

www.discounttire.com
www.tirerack.com

good luck
