The MRSP seems high, I bought a 2012 Altima 2.5SL, with both convenience pkgs, the premium sound package, splash guards, the storage organizer with first aid and tool kit and the SL has leather. The MRSP was just over $29, 000 and I bought it for just over $25,000. But a "good" deal is what you feel comfortable with. My payments with an extended warranty and 0% financing is $397.00 per month for 60 months. But no matter what price you come up with you are always going to find some body who got a better deal. Get the price to where you are happy and go for it. This is my 3rd and my favorite Altima. Great car!!!

Thanks! You know what, you're right. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't getting my head ripped off. Did you get the coupe or sedan? I know MSRP on the Sedan is slightly lower. I went to another dealer today and negotiated what I feel is a "fair" price. Playing the dealers against one another seemed to have worked well unless they spring something on me once I go back to sign (they had to order my car).
I sure hope I'm happy with Nissan! I had a Honda before and it's been great!
Thanks again!

You are correct, mine is a sedan. I overlooked that you were buying a couple. As far them springing something on you, you are in control of the situation now. Just let them know you are not going to pay more than the quoted price, and you are prepared to walk if you have to pay more. They are just a signature away from selling the vehicle and they do not want to lose the sale. As far as being happy with the Altima, I believe it to be the best car for the price. I have had mine since mid Oct and I still like it more each day.
