Hey Im hopeing somebody can help me. Ive got a 1994 altima gxe. The cams locked up. Im gonna just replace the engine in it. but right now the car is parked at a car lot across town. can anyone tell me the model of the engine thats in mine? Also if anyone knows which other model and year altimas have the exact same engine? I would greatly appreciate anyone that can tell me this. thanks

thats got the 2.4l or the ka24de i belive that only other altima engines will work. i think the truck ones were different. also think the 240sx ones were different also... not 100% sure on that one

you can get any ka24de, the block and head are the same for different cars, the intake manifold changes because of the fwd and rwd/4wd configurations. why not just get another head if its just the cams? you wouldnt have to deal with pulling the engine that way

if the cams locked up than there is a big chance that a piston hit some valves and you could get into it and need pistons and stuff so just easyer to replace an engine.
