Default Idle Fluctuation

I just cleaned my throttle body, but now when idle, I am getting fluctuation. Is it because since my throttle body is clean I have to get my Fuel Injectors cleaned? Or is it something else? I have an 03' 2.5 S.

Thanks

You could have a small leak around a gasket if you took it off to clean it. Spray some starter fluid around the gasket and see if it surges or changes idle.

If you forced the throttle plate open to clean it then you have damaged the TPS sensor. They come calibrated and when you force the plate open it messes the calibration up. Take it to the dealer and see if they can do the Idle Air Learn procedure on it to fix it. If that doesn't take care of it you will have to buy a new throttle body.

No need to go to the dealership for the IAVL. If you can download a service manual from the net you're all set. I had to do it to my '04 2.5s and the manual shows you how to do it without the CONSULT-II. It's a series of key turns, pedal pushing and timing. Fixed my idling problem... Go to http://www.nissanhelp.com/diy/altima..._procudure.htm

It tells you what to do but the manual has a diagram of the key turns and timing.

Hope this helps!!

Where at in the manual do you find this? Did the same thing to my gfs 05 3.5 and tried that link above with no success. Also have no code though

He is right I had the same issue on my nissan altima 2005 2.5S and I used the same procedure and it works. I had to try few times to get it right but just follow exactly and accurately.
