i have an 08 coupe. have ordered a Kenwood excelon ddx-896. anyone hear much about this unit? i got a great deal....and yes, i know Google is your friend...
well I know that the excelon line of kenwoods are what you want since they have 4v preamp outputs...critical if you hook up a 2 or 4 or mono amp to it because it means that the signal is clearer and you don't have to crank up the amp gain all the way up when matching the input signal. The higher the preamp voltage, the less risk of clipping
yea....our shop being a dealer we get a little bit of a scoop on new units coming out....usually all of them are released april but don't get shipped out until june-ish..jan seems a little soon but it could be true...it'd still be worth the wait if you have a smart phone with android.
if I had the money, I'd probably switch to the kenwod excelon x-995 as it has more lines for scrolling text and more fine tuning and a 5 band eq. My jvc is good for the time being
