i have an 02 and it looses power rpm drop and stall sometimes , and will only go about 30-40 mph

after i turn car off for a while it will run fine . what do i need to check

I chased the MAF since everyboy said this was my problem. Turned out to be a badly clogged cat.

sounds like your in failsafe. pull codes that will help a lot. those motors had several issues. ive seen maf throttle bodys getting dirty or just failing. sucking power valves down into the engine. cats fail. there are several things to check. better to pull codes and then go from there.
