All,

Just came close to overheating my 02 Altima SE 5sp ... with no coolant issues. Turns out I had no oil ... but my low oil light did not go off. Further, I had my oil pan gasket replaced about 12k ago; so, I think this is the matter. Can oil blow out between the oil pan and engine block but not leave any oil puddle? I've never noticed any leak. Any comments or similiar experiences appreciated. Thank you.

its possible that u may be burning it.

True. I may be burning it ... but I never see much come out of the exhaust. It's at the dealer now ... I find out more tomorrow.
