Mods List for N/A 3.5
Thought I would start a thread to build a list of available mods for normally aspirated 3.5 engines and see how big we can grow it:
- Intake system (CAI, WAI, SRI)
- Headers
- Y-pipe
- cat-back/muffler delete
- VIAS delete
- Manifold spacer gasket
- Intake manifold
- Plenum spacer
- Programmer/chip/ECU mod/pro tune/dyno tune
- Underdrive Pulley
- Camshaft
- SSIM (secret sauce intake manifold) http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...m-6th-gen.html
- 3" MAF tube
- Transgo shift kit for A/T
- Grounding kit
- Motor mount inserts
- Traction rods
- Throttle body spacer

Cams, SSIM (secret sauce intake manifold), this involves removing the shelves in your manifold.

3" MAF tube (BBMAF), under programmer I would add a prefessional tune, Transgo shift it for A/T.

You have a plastic intake right? This mod wouldn't benefit you like it does the cast intake not to mention the spacing for the intake screws is different. I wish I had your intake setup.

Man..getting more power out of the VQ is gunna be tough. Maybe a agressive cam might, well might hell. It WILL pull some power out but I think camming the vq would cost hellacious money.

You're right. 270 is pretty good from a V6, imo. Grab yourself a bottle maybe.

Eh, Im a little nervous with a NOS bottle. One, I have a CVT, and I dont know how much power it can handle. 2. NOS is like a hot girl with STDs. You want to hit it but your afraid of the consequences.
