Default Motorized seat recliner problem

Anyone know if there is a manual way to recline the driver seat? Something is wrong with the motor as the seat will recline upward but will not recline down at all. Im gonna call the nissan dealership where I bought my car brand new and see if its covered by the warranty. But it the meantime the seat is reclined to high up and I want a quickfix.

You can try beating on the motor if you can get to it. That might get it going enough to put it back into position.

I wouldn't beat on anything b/c if it is under warranty they may see signs of where you hit it and choose not to repair it.

All I'm saying is that is how we do it at our dealership as part of a diagnosis even when it's under warranty. You don't need to hit it hard. Just a couple taps will work. Not hard enough to cause any damage. Besides he needs to get it back to a safe position to drive the vehicle to the dealer. They don't make house calls and it would be cheaper than towing it.
