Default Muscle milk and drinking it before bed

I saw on my muscle milk box that it can be used pre workout, post workout, or before bedtime. Why exactly would you take muscle milk before bedtime, and does it have any benefit?

The protein probably helps you feel full. I'm usually hungry before bed and I'll have a bowl of cereal. The milk stuff would be like a healthier alternative to my Lucky Charms.

some bodybuilders eat around the clock, including setting alarms to wake up for intake. i have had 1/2 of an eas before bed to tame hunger. it does work. cereal gives me the winds.

I have been working out for years, 5 days a week so I can tell you the importance of protein which is one of the main ingrediant's in muscle milk. Protein is the backbone of building muscle and the best time for your muscle to repair and grow is when the body is at rest, so if you take protein before bed you are giving your body the nutrients to repair and grow. What you want to concern your self with is carb's because that will will just sit in your stomach which is why you may of heard of no carb's after dinner.

I take my syntha 6 right after workout but counts as my after workout recovery drink and my dinner.

I am on the P90 X program.

The friend I work out with recommended that I get this huge tub of Muscle Pharm protein powder.

It says that it "feeds" muscles for 8 hours. So I have a shake in the morning with breakfast before working out and another small one an hour or two after dinner.

I squat 225-250 3 sets of 10. I know I can never get tree trunks so I try for lean, muscle in my legs.

i'm trying to lean out my legs some now that i'm through with the bulking stage. i was doing 315 for 8 reps while bulking, and now i go for 225 for 15 reps to lean out. i have naturally strong legs though. i wish the rest of my body could make as much gains as my legs.
