Default my 3rd gen build

heres my sq system in my 06 2.5s

alpine cde-117 deck with integrated sirius sat and usb stick hidden in console. also garmin nuvi gps custom mounted above the deck

Type -R 6.5" components in front doors and a pillars (cross overs hidden under dash)

Type -R 6.5" coaxials in the rear doors (still trying to locate oem bose door panels for rear doors)

Type -R 6x9" coaxials in rear deck

10" Type -R sub woofer in type 2 Q-logic ported box

Alpine V-power MRP-F300 4 channel amps and Alpine V-power MRP-F500 mono block

custom blow through port behind arm rest (still have to upholster it)

misc stuff 4gauge main power wire to distribution block with 8 gauge power to each amp and grounds. 16 gauge speaker wire ran to each speaker not just to the oem harness.

You are going to need a lot more work to compete in a SQ competition. Including: dynamat, high end components and amps, possibly running active. Running tweeters on axis and so on.

oh i know there is alot more to be done if i wanted to, still in the process of installing dynamat, already did the trunk. and im not concerened with winning anything in the sq comp. how ever from what i saw last year there was nothing impressive lol. i just want to see how my system fairs.

Do you have any sound clips of your system in action? Can you tell a difference having the rear door speakers in?

clean install but lose the box and do a custom box 1-1.5 cube @ 30-33hz should work pretty good

no sound clips i only have a low end digital camera lol. and yes i did notice a difference with the speakers in the rear doors when amped.

Well if you get a nice camera post up some sound clips. I've been thinking about getting Polk components for the front and rear doors and getting rid of the 6x9s. I agree that a new box would do you good though. And if you're going for SQ you should have a sealed box.

For the box.. It's not hard. You just need patience.

you dont need sealed box for sq i no alot of people that won sq comps with ported boxes

this box can be ported or sealed the port unscrews and a plug can be screwed in its place. its kinda neat.
