Default My Coupe - Modifications & Prices

Hello there guys & girls. I’m new to this forum and wanted to share a few things. I recently acquired a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5S and I have a long list of modifications that I would like to get done. I have heard plenty of people saying that this car is the cheap people version of the Infinity. Well, let me tell you, I have the money to get the G37S, which it was the car I wanted, but I really liked the Altima Coupe. Anyways, here is my list including pictures and prices. Enjoy and feel free to comment, suggest, recommend, criticized, or whatever you feel like.

-----2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5S, used, 17k miles, black leather, Bose sound system, sunroof, $19,500

-----The trade: 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 40k miles, Mopar intake system, stage 2 racing chip, throttle body spacer, 10% tints all around, dual head rest dvd system, sunroof, navigation, leather & suade, Boston Acoustik sound system, lots lots lots more. Very sad to see it go, but the gas prices don’t look like they are coming down anytime soon.

Too much to spend a lot of time on it for me...But here is MY opinion on some items.

· Coupe looks great...... But your old Chrysler 300 “Tank" also looked good.
· New wheels you are looking at look great and they are a must do.
· Spoiler also is a must do.
· Film over the headlights and tail lights???? Will they look good in a year? Might peel away from the elements?
· The Fog Lights you posted are not OEM…..would buy true OEM.
· Like your current grill better than what you are suggesting to replace it with.
· New intake for a 2.5??? From what I have read… will be eye candy only for the engine…. Not worth the expenditure…

Welcome to the forum and nice looking Altima…

Different strokes...I would consider the Eibach's a must if you are going to get those wheels. Consider it a package deal. I would follow it up with the spoiler and you have a geart looking machine. The other stuff is ok but a little too ricey for me. It's an interesting choice you made getting rid of the SRT8. It's seems like it would be a blast to drive.

Believe me the SRT was a nice and fun ride...I literally almost cry when I traded it in....But it was giving me only around 11mpg...Now I'm getting around 30mpg....I also traded in my truck ('06 GMC Yukon Denali) for a '10 Honda CRV...

Wonder how much it would have cost to have converted the SRTs engine to a diesel..if that is possible?

that is a long to do list but I didnt see any mufflers! lol I know the coupe wont be as punchy as the 300SRT was. I had a chance to get a 06 300C HEMI or a 04 RX-8 but I fell in love with the altima I have now. I envy your front end tho. Mine is beat to hell from highway debris. I need a car bra. Anyway, good luck with the car!

To paint the chrome grill part I went to Advance Auto Parts. Went to the paint section and look at the book they have for the paint match. I bought a can of primer, can of the black paint and a can of clear coat. sanded the parts very well, then a few times with the primer, a few times with the black, and a few times with the clear. Easy, quick and cheap....

Looks good! I was told by a profession body shop that if I stripped the chrome grills and had it professionally painted that it would come off in a year or 2 so I'm having them vinyl-wrapped, we'll see how that turns out... Yours looks amazing though!

My list is almost as aggressive, I'm really excited to see how this unfolds for you!

Love the body kit and the headlights they must be new I haven't seen them yet. I bought my lighted spoiler from http://www.autoanything.com/spoilers...0A2604060.aspx for $199 and was just plug and play and had it installed at shop and love it. I like the grill as well I had my chrome tinted the same time I had my tail lights tinted and I love how they turned out here is a picture let me know what you think.
