My friend had a blonde moment even though she is a brunette and left her push button ignition Altima running all day from 7:30 AM until 5 PM. When she got to the car the car had run out of gas and she thought that the battery was dead.

After putting gas in the car and charging the battery the car still acts as though the battery is dead. Stereo works, lights work but the car still sounds as if the battery is dead when she tries to start it.

Any clues as to the possible issue? Thanks.

Tell her to take it to her local auto store and have them test the battery, it could possibly be her alternator.
