Just beneath the a/c control, reach under the plastic cover (woodgrain or stainless, depending on your model) and pull forward. The cover that goes over the 3 a/c knobs comes off with a good tug. After that comes off, there are 4 phillips head screws that hold the ac controls in place. Remove them. Then pull on the a/c controls, but don't unplug them and you will see the other screws to remove. The rest is just phillips head work. It should fit right in if it's a double din.

So how did your install go? I am just about to put in a pioneer ACH-4200DVD and the Bluetooth adapter to my 3.5 SE Altima with Bose. Just wanted to know if there were any other pitfalls you experienced. Thanks for starting this thread.

You will have no problems with the airbag light and disconnecting the plug as long as you disconnect the negative battery terminal BEFORE you start. After you are done installing everything than reinstall the terminal to the battery. Been doing this for years no worried or troubles.
Just do not "test" the head unit while the air bag light is disconnected.
