Default Need New Speakers!! Currently have 4 Speakers

Alright guys so this is my first post here and any help or comments are really appreciated as I know relatively little about good sound systems. I have a 2010 altima (base) with the 4 speakers. Those just aren't going to cut it (want to go to 6 speakers) so I need some suggestions on what to get?

These 4 speakers produce NO BASS whatsoever and that is one thing I need. The sound isn't bad but then again there aren't speakers in the rear either (which I want). Suggestions as to what I should get are greatly appreciated!

Yea you need to recommend a budget at least and if you are able to do the work yourself.

I put two 10" Infinity Kappa subwoofers in my trunk inside a sealed box. I like how I get nice tight bass from them.

Don't go with a ported sub box unless you want really loud yet somewhat "messy" sound.

If you can, get an amp for the interior speakers and another one just for the subs. I got all my stuff from Crutchfield.

you have plenty of options depending on how much u want to spend and how ambitious you want to get. you can add kick panels, custom door pods, custom rear deck. or just upgrade to some better speakers or components. definitely upgrade the factory speakers cuz those wont cut it if you like your music.

I've talked with Ian Kee, owner of keeaudio.com web store. He is studying the Altima audio system and will design a speaker package upgrade.
I purchased the Trans am speaker package upgrade direct plug and play and I am very pleased with the speakers performance.

I have the same altima. 2010 base model. I just got new speakers for christmas. I cannot figure out how to get the 6x9 speakers in the slots in the trunk and do not know how to access it. Do you know how?

Arite check it out...
first get an aftermarket deck, so when you hook up your amps later, theyll sound nice... my brand is pioneer, ive always used it, never failed me...

then you can get yourself a sub,
i like fosgate... they can be quiet and stealthy but they get purrty loud...
especilly the "power" series, competition quality
id recommend one 12"... and check youtube and BUILD YOUR OWN BOX!!!
SOOPER easy and ALOT cheaper than getting a ----ty one built at a shop...
and id push the sub with a fosgate amp from
http://audiovideodimension.com/
they sell legit stuff for pretty cheap, just not their double dins..

next get yourself some T2-652S component speakers by fosgate
http://www.audiovideodimension.com/r...2s-p-3662.html
theyre ALOT cheaper on this site only $215
and make sure you throw a little 4 channel 400 watt amp behind these, theyll sound ALOT better...
i had a set o these in my last truck and i pushed these by themselves [as in without rear speakers] and they were LOUD and CLEAR

and last, your 6x9's for the back...
the 6x9 fsgates are pretty cheap[price]
and hook those up to the same amp as your components.
http://www.audiovideodimension.com/r...93-p-3779.html
only $100 not bad..

and make sure to dynomat your trunk and your 6x9's...
my 6x9's rattle like crazy when the bass hits...

hope this helps

That is a completely false statement. Properly built ported box can sound better than a sealed box. If you are buying a prefab then stick with sealed. Crutchfield is a great place to buy stuff if you want to pay a lot more than anything other place. They are the most expensive car audio site. Try places like sonicelectronix(same customer service and great on warranties)vminnovations.com or woofersetc.com for stuff like CDT product

i dont dig kenwood,
but to all his own...
i wouldnt recommend the P1's from fosgate...
Gotta get the power series...
or Fi BTL's, which are even better...

the kenwood mids and highs are clear and loud. but ur right its all on the person, i hear that the T1 is the way to go with fosgate but its all in what u want. if you want good sound and dont care about impressing people then you dont have to go with something very strong but dont go cheep like wall-mart ( Buy cheep-sound cheep) but if you want power then orion hcca is the way to go but your looking at about $500-$600 a sub and noless then 1800w to run them
