Default New Altima Owner

OK, So,

First of all I want to say that i am glad to find another outstanding forum dedicated to vehicle Ownership and Modification.

I Frequent other Forums for other vehicles I own and always find the knowledge base to be valuable.

We just bought a '08 Altima 3.5 SE.

It was NEW sititng on a dealership lot all but forgotten, Looked around for a '09 3.5 and none of the dealers within 100 miles of my home had access to one.

So this Precision Grey 3.5 6 Speed with Tech Package was sitting at the local dealer with 132 miles on it. WE purchased for $26K ( sticker was $32,800)

The dealer installed:

Wheel locks,
Suroof Sind Deflector
Window tint 35%

The Altima calls for a Group 24R Battery and the Car had a Group 35 in it and they had to Jump start the vehicle the first time we looked at it. So we installed an Optima 34R-1050 battery to make sure that all that power equiptment was going to be able to have a good power source.

I downloaded and burned a copy of the 7.4 edition Navigation DVD since ours came with the 7.2 from 06-07. I am now up to dade with the newest 08-09 POI and such.

So far the car is a freaking dream. Love it. Dig the back up camera, Makes avoiding the chrismas decorations in the garage a snap.

Will be looking into a few mods inthe near future, MAybe a CAI and some Exhaust. Its going to be a daily driver so Under drive pullya and the such are out.

Has anyone had opertunity to attempt installing a base amp to the bose sound system? Would like to put in maybe 1 10in for fill.

Any other cool mods that are a Must?

Thanks for the site to come to and exchange knowledge!!

I will get some pics up as soon as I get her to a place that can match the beauty of the car.

Plus I think a nice coat of Zymol is in order this weekend.
