Hi guys !!

My second post in this forum

Do you guys have informations about the Altima 2011? I'm planning to buy this car next year and I'm wondering when we will have all the informations about it (changes and prices)... any clue?

This will be the first time I buy a brand new car

so I want something that I'll like very much, if the 2011 model doesn't match my expectations maybe I'll go with a 2010 model...

The Altima went through a styling change, albeit mild, for the 2010 year. 2011 I am sure will be another carry over year.

The 2011 will be the same as the 2010 model with the exception of some new colors.

thank you, I found the pages you are mentionning (my turn to try posting links => www.automobile.com/2011-nissan-altima-review.html and iguida.com/2011-nissan-altima <= did it work?).

There's nothing really official at this time, I have to wait until this fall to get precise and reliable informations.

Actually what I am afraid of are the small changes (like they did with the outside mirrors between '09 and '10 models, right?) and trim packages. For instance I'd like to have leather seats, but I just don't care about all the other features coming with this package and I don't want to pay ~$3000 for features I don't want. That's what I'm afraid of with 2011 model, if they modify trim packages in a way I don't like maybe I'll go with a 2010 model...

And that's my 2nd question: I never bought a new car but I'm wondering => when the 2011 model will be available (fall 2010 ?), can I still buy a 2010 model for a while? My guess is that 2010 models should be a little bit less expensive then?

Sorry for bothering you with my thoughts, but I'm planning to keep this car for ~8 years so I want to choose it right!

You're right, there is nothing official. It depends on what your preference is for buying new cars. Buying something new for me means buying the latest features and benefits the company has to offer. Buying a "new" '10 just doesn't have the same meaning for me. Having said that, you could get a heck of a deal on a '10 when the '11's come out. One of the websites states there will be some new trim packages. I imagine, but I dont know for sure, the 11's will be released in fall.
