I was driving on the highway the other day with the heat on. It was set to the defrost and floor setting and on high heat. Number 2 fan setting. It was getting warm so I turned the thermostat down a little bit so it wasn't as hot. Then it got too cold so I turned it back up but there was no longer any heat. Luke warm at best. The temperature gauge was dead center (normal). Where did my heat go? Now it won't get warm in the car even though the engine temp is normal. Any ideas ?? There are no leaks and the coolant is only about 7 months old

did you make sure you have coolant in the radiator and the overflow. it it got changed and there is a bubble in the system when the bubble travels to the radiator it will give you no or little heat. try undoing the radiator cap and jacking the front of the car up as high as you can. set the e brake. start the car and then turn the heater on. let it run for a while and make sure you are getting heat from the heater and that its all full they you should have gotten the bubble out. either that or you are low on coolant which will cause a big bubble.
