So I have a 96 Altima with Auto tranny. Problem is this. With the fuse for the overdrive installed the car shifts from 1st to 2nd and thats it(no drive, no OD). With the fuse pulled the car starts out on 2nd gear and shifts into DRIVE and thats it(no 1st, no OD). WTF?. SOmeone said theres a sensor down by the shifting linkage going into the bell housing that might need replacement, what sensor are they referring to?. Tranny does not shake or shimmy or shutter, its pretty smooth.
