How much do you want to spend? That's a good starting point...

i guess that would be a good piece of information to share huh?

pretty much up to the 1000/1200 range? somewhere around there, my max cap would probably be 1500.... would like to keep somewhere around 800-1000 though...

Check out a font y-pipe from either Racingline or Stillen. It provides the largest HP gain for the money. You can go for a cat-back system but it is very expensive for minimal if non-existent gains. I did what penguinchit did and removed the mufflers. This gives you a great sound for under $100. An intake is also rather inexpensive. I am not going to recommend one over the other for fear of starting a braul, however I just went with an e-bay one with a AEM dry flow filter.

I first added an AEM CAI. The sound improvement alone was worth it! Yes, the cat-back isn't cheap, but looks and sounds good. I went with Magnaflow. I think its the best out there. Performance peddler was reasonable for that mod. A grounding kits a good add-on and you can make your own for about $25 like I did. Headers are a good HP gain but hard to install on this car.A good tank of 93 octane will do wonders too!

I'm with mikejames...Racingline y-pipe. Best bang for the buck. There's also intake spacers which aren't terribly expensive and the NWP VIAS delete plate for a little midrange bump and a 15 minute install.

Racingline is also working on some precat adapters or something like that...When combined with the y pipe, he's estimating a 25 or so hp gain. That's what I'm waiting for. When those are done, I'm doing the whole kaboodle.

I think part of making more power is a better breathing engine. If you add an intake, you want to free up the exhaust too. That way the mods help each other. After basic bolt-ons, you need to address the ECU program in order to adjust the fuel mixture, timing, and so on, to really make full power. An underdrive pulley is a common upgrade and low cost to add on too.

Nismo Intake - $280
Magnaflow Exhaust - $400 ebay, wunderparts is the vendor
Racingline Y-pipe - $280
NWP Vias Block Plate - $50 or less
AEM Dryflow Filter - $50ish or less

I'm assuming you're not doing the installs yourself so with parts at about 1g, the rest of your budget might be spent on install. FYI- If you get a catback or Y-pipe, do to your dealer and buy new gaskets! I was pissed off when I realized I needed gaskets, lol.

These are the basic bolt ons to start you off. Then theres headers! Intake spacer kits etc.. theres a decent amount of performance stuff out there and most are from dedicated vendors. Dont forget suspension and steering.

For sure, a big cost factor is how much of the work you can do yourself. I think even a noob can put on an intake. The VIAS block plate looks simple to do yourself too. Hiring exhaust work gets pricey, but you need at minimum ramps and a tourch to heat up the bolts, before you tackle that. Throttle body spacer would be simple too.

thanks guys i appreciate all of the help!!

I've been looking up all sorts of information on all of those parts Synergy listed... i noticed that some parts will take off at the lower end but add on the higher end, and vice versa etc etc. My main goal with all of this is to add as much as possible to the lower end.. i love being able to jet from the redlights

Are any of these items that you all are suggesting NOT good for that? For example, something that would take away from acceleration but add a bunch to high end speed.. again, thanks a BUNCH. when im rdy to order im going to be coming here first and ill post it up! thanks!

So you want low end torque? and is this for a 4 or 6 cylinder? all the parts listed grant hp throughout the rpm band except for the blockplate. However, if ur gonna do the Racingline Y-pipe, I suggest doing the blockplate. For some reason, to me, they compliment each other. I have the more expensive block plate for sale, $40shipped if u r interested. Only reason I'm selln it is because I bought another one for my ported Intake Manifold.

Ah, damn, Im in New York City. Wouldnt been great if you were closer. I like workn on nissans. here is the link to the pulley. http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/Item...ke=30&Model=15

A little pricey but like I said, very much worth it, especially since you want more low end torque.
