Hey All,

I have a 2009 NAH with about 20K miles on it. I have 2 quick silly oil change questions;

1. how often do you change the oil?
2. Does the oil have to be synthetic?

FYI - I am at the Nissan dealership now getting an oil change. Here are the details they are giving me;

1. The use a synthetic blend
2. They recommend oil changes every 7,000 Miles
3. Total cost - $89.00.

Personally, i still feel like i am not getting a straight answer. I need to check my owner's manual's again, but I do not recall seeing details for oil change intervals for hybrids using synthetic oil.

Also, the dealership is recommending i rotate my tires with every oil change. I somewhat laughed in the guys face as it feels like total overkill, but figured i would mention here to see if anyone disagrees.

they actually ended up charging $69.00 for synthetic that seems a bit better. too bad they still can't give me a straight answer on the oil change interval. so annoying.
