Oil Leak behind filter bracket
Hey guys just got on the forum today and I got a question. I personally own a 90' 300zx that I do all of the work on myself. Ive rebuilt the engine done suspension and all that so mechanic work on cars is not a problem for me.
My girl friends altima needs about a quart of oil a week to stay full because it all drips out onto the driveway. I went under there and cleaned away all the gunk to try and find the leak. It appears to me to be coming right from behind that bracket or port where the oil filter screws in. I cant see anyway to take it off for replacing any seals or anything like that. Im sure thats where the oil is coming form.
Can anyone with any engine experience help me out. My girl friends been on me about getting this fixed since she had the car. After putting so much time into my Z I dont really feel like toying with anything else but its a serious matter. The engine isnt taking the starvation of oil to well. Thanks
