at 57,000 miles, its definitely not considered a high mileage car (in my mind, high mileage is 100k+). The choice of oil really depends on what your looking for and your driving habits.
If you're an aggressive driver, i would highly suggest a full synthetic oil to deal with the massive amounts of heat your engine produces. If you drive normally, any normal semi-synthetic or Nissan recommended oil will do just fine!
If you track your vehicle a lot and drive in extreme hot weather conditions, i would suggest Nissan/Infiniti's Ester oil to deal with the extreme heat.
The choice of oil also really depends on how much you love your Nissan and how much you're willing to spend to maintain it...

Is Royal Purple the good stuff? I had seen it out there, but never heard anything about it. I drive almost 100 miles a day to work adn it is mostly interstate. I try to maintain the posted limits, but sometimes my foot gets the better of me.

In your case, i would recommend a full synthetic 5w30 oil since you do a pretty long haul to and from work. It's a good thing you're on the interstate since the highway speeds can help your engine cool down. I've heard some really good things about Royal Purple (i've never used it myself), but that is definitely one brand of oil i would personally use in my car. Another would be AMSoil and/or motul (developed by Nissan race teams).
I currently use Nissan's Ester Oil for the 370z. It's a lot more expensive than your full synthetic oil, but i love my Altima!

mobil1 is good too, but there's better...
Nissan oil is actually manufactured by M1, and all Nissan cars are factory filled with M1 as well...

honestly, give it a try...what's the worse that can happen? It's still motor oil and it fits in the criteria of what the manufacturer recommends. Use it once, and if you don't like it, don't buy it again.
it's not like your engine's gonna jump out of your engine bay and run away....

What makes the Nissan Ester Oil better than full synthetic oil? I run full synthetic (75k miles on the car) and it will last longer between changes, offsetting the cost a bit.

Nissan's VQ motor in the G35, 350z, G37, and 370z all have overheating issues as well as valve ticking noise from the VVEL. This extra heat has caused the G's and Z's to run in limp mode when they ran too hard at the track. Nissan has solved this problem by introducing diamond-like carbons into their oil which reduces friction....this eliminated the valve tick, as well as reduced oil temperature...this is also the same for Altima's, Maxima's, etc etc....but not so many issues for our cars since we don't push out as much hp as the G and Z's do....
The reason why i know about this Ester oil is because one of my good friend works at Nissan and like you, i also want to baby my car.

I was told the Ester oil is also a full synthetic oil....and it was SPECIFICALLY designed for the Nissan VQ motor....
